SO-TOO SOUNDS SHOW 1SUNDAY JUNE 28THMUSICAL PERFORMANCES BY:DONNA

PARIAH THE DOLL

JASMINE JOHNSON [DJ SET]DOROTHY FUZZBONE-AIRES

DONNA

Bone-Aires was never meant to be a band. But after a set in the chaos of a Halloween house party the trio knew they had to keep going.

A series of sessions soaked in distortion resulted in the kind of sound that rattles bones.

Bone-Aires recently performed at So-Too, closing their set with a cover of Albert King’s The Hunter — a howling rendition that felt like a knife fight at a blues funeral. Their original songs hit the same nerve: themes of menace, lust, heartbreak, and ghosts you can’t shake.

The band is made up of drummer Sam Schwall, formerly of Dumb Fucks (RIP), bassist/vocalist Chase Hansen of LA’s The Mainliners, and guitarist/vocalist Cash Mathieu, also based in Los Angeles. Schwall hails from Dallas, Texas, bringing a different kind of southern heat to the band’s dynamic.

Bone-Aires is currently recording new material and booking shows across LA and beyond.

Formed in April 2024 this band came together by accident, over time, and somehow exactly when it was supposed to.

Catherine Reeves (bass, vocals), Victor Gamez (guitar), and Cody Nunn (drums) pull from wildly different musical corners. hazy minimalism, ethereal precision, & harmonic chaotic beauty.

Drums, bass, guitar, and vocals. That’s it. No loops, no synths, no distractions. Just a band, with an intensely beautiful sound.Dorothy Fuzz was born during a film screening series hosted at Digital Debris Video Gallery in November 2023. Curator and performer Dorothy Fuzz reached out to Jo Fuzz (no relation) to join her for a one-off live performance. One set turned into something stickier.

With Dorothy on synths and vocals, and Jo handling bass, guitar, and the mysterious “obsidian oboe,” the duo’s sound is filthy, abrasive, and danceable. Their influences range from industrial pioneers like Esplendor Geometrico to the broader underbelly of the explosive underground.

Dorothy hails from New York, New York, while Jo, the City of Angels. Together they’re a living transmission from the static-filled void.

BONE-AIRES

Formed in April 2024 at a house in Los Angeles belonging to Victor and Cody, this band came together the way all good things do—by accident, over time, and somehow exactly when it was supposed to.

Catherine Reeves (bass, vocals), Victor Gamez (guitar), and Cody Nunn (drums) pull from wildly different corners of the musical universe. Think Tacoma Radar’s hazy minimalism, Ichiko Aoba’s ethereal precision, Dave Coltrane’s soul-splitting explorations, Stevie Wonder’s harmonic genius, The Cardigans’ pop-tinted melancholy, Midori’s chaotic beauty, and Slint’s slow-burn tension. It makes no sense, and somehow makes perfect sense.

Drums, bass, guitar, and vocals. That’s it. No loops, no synths, no distractions—just three people building strange and pretty things with what they’ve got.

There’s no big story yet. Just a band, a sound, and the beginnings of something weird and good.
